The Joint Research Unit (In French, UMR) 1136 Interaction Trees / microorganisms is part of the Research Federation (In French, FR) 110 EFABA (Forest ecosystems, Agro-resources, Bio-molecules and Alimentation) and of The Lab of Excellence for Advanced Research on the Biology of TRee and Forest Ecosystems (ARBRE). It is under the double tutelage of the INRA and Lorraine University.

The present Director of the unit is Eric Gelhaye, who is assisted by Pascal Frey.

The Department is composed of three functional research teams that are under the supervision of Sébastien Duplessis, Pascal Frey (campus INRA) and Nicolas Rouhier (university campus):

– University of Lorraine campus at Vandoeuvre-Les-Nancy :
Stress response and redox regulation team managed by Nicolas Rouhier
