JGI ‘Basidiomycetes Genomes’ workshop

January 30th, 2011

coprinopsis_12A JGI  ‘Basidiomycetes Genomes’ workshop will take place  on Monday March 21, 2011 at the JGI in Walnut Creek.

The purpose will be to continue our previous discussions on comparative genomics analyses with the goal of developing a number of co-authored publications. Now that many of the genomes are getting published or the manuscripts are nearing submission the time is ripe to move forward with comparative analyses. We plan for the workshop to start with brief summaries of current Basidiomycetes genome sequencing projects, various aspects of comparative genomics, and more targeted discussions of wood decayers and symbionts.
