Job description

  • The PhD work will take place in two laboratories, LERMAB in France and the Department of Wood Biology and Wood Technology at Georg August University in Germany under the supervision of Professors Philippe Gerardin and Holger Militz.
  • The work will involve development of beech wood modification treatments combining chemical modification and thermal modification, up scaling of the treatment and characterization of the properties of obtained materials.

Requirements :

  • Knowledge of wood sciences, chemistry, wood technology
  • Previous experimental experience in the domaine appreciated
  • Able to work collaboratively with other labs / team members
  • Open to working internationally
  • Adaptability

Working language(s) :  English necessary — French and German would be a helpful
